Why a fully comprehensive insurance for construction?
All construction works are subject to numerous risks. Some can be prevented, but others are unforeseeable (reduced times, site locations, the hiring of inexperienced staff, new materials and projects).
Large companies may contemplate a self-insurance system, but they can suffer damages that exceed their economic capacity, so it is necessary to transfer the risks to an insurance company.
The size of the project is immaterial, as both large- and small-scale projects can be hit by a major claim.

How long does the insurance last?
From the start date to the end date shown in the special conditions of the policy. These dates should be the start and finish of the construction work.
There is optional coverage for maintenance work and the repair of defects that have subsequently appeared. This option covers the same guarantees as in the policy for a further 12 months following expiry of the policy.

Upon expiry the policy is cancelled. However, there is an option to change the date by amending the initial policy. If the cause is justified, then the amount of the amendment will not exceed what would have been paid when the policy was first taken out to any great extent.
